As time goes by, new

As time goes by, new studies on whey protein continue to verify and amplify its positive benefits. Currently, whey protein is regarded by a growing number of people to be beneficial in cardiovascular health, athletic strength and the proper growth of infants and toddlers.

Of recent note — due to the wave of popularity of the Atkins diet that has swept across the country — has been the interest given to high-protein diets. There have been many studies that have concluded that high-protein diets are a good method for weight loss in many people. However, what few people know is that there is a difference in the type of protein used in the diet as regards the overall health of the dieter.

According to Atkins, meat, chicken and fish are the best proteins to ingest. Mixed with a small amount of vegetables and a large amount of vitamins and minerals, the Atkins plan has been adopted by millions.

However, studies have shown that in the long-term this choice of protein can have the opposite effect on people?s health and that a better, healthier choice of protein to use on the Atkins diet or any high protein diet would be whey protein.

Yo-yo dieting, also

Yo-yo dieting, also referred to as ?weight cycling,? is when cravings overpower any positive effects that a dieter has received by following whatever program allowed them to lose weight.

You usually hear cravings and yo-yo dieting mentioned when a person loses a certain amount of weight, gains it back, and then loses it again, feeding into a vicious cycle of dieting ups and downs.

The cravings that come with yo-yo dieting can be quite a physically, as well as emotionally draining process.

Unhealthy Practices

There have been studies done on people who feed into the cravings and yo-yo diet, determining that these repeated cycles of weight loss and weight gain is an unhealthy practice.

Solar energy costs are declining

0 Comments | Buffalo News, Jul 12, 2010 | by Gerry Smith

CHICAGO — At a former industrial site on Chicago’s South Side, more than 32,000 solar panels slowly tilt every few minutes, following the sun as it moves across the sky.

Operated by Exelon Corp., the 40-acre site is the nation’s largest urban solar plant, generating 10 megawatts of clean power and hope for an industry that has long waited for its moment in the sun.

The solar plant generates enough electricity to power about 1,500 homes and its clean power means less greenhouse gases are emitted, the equivalent of taking 2,500 cars off the road each year.

“We have been frustrated over the years that solar has not become more mainstream,” said Kevin Lynch, who trains electricians to install solar panels for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. “We understand it’s still a relatively expensive technology, but the cost is much less than it was a few years ago.”

Indeed, the biggest obstacle to the growth of solar energy — its cost — has started to decline

Reality Or Just Dreams?

Financial Freedom – Reality Or Just Dreams? by Julia Sage
in Home / Home Business (submitted 2007-11-21)

Every day people all over the world dream about the day they can become financially free. Some try and fail miserable, costing them even more money. Others just quietly dream about it, never trying, thinking it is just a fantasy. And there are those who do succeed; perhaps they are just lucky, or have tons of money to invest.

We are told by some to join their program and we can make thousands of dollars over-night. Many of us fall for this and sign up, only to be greatly disappointed, and further in debt. Thus adding to our belief that its just not possible; its only a dream.

Can our dreams become reality? Yes, but not over night, unless you are lucky enough to win the lotto. These “get rich over night” promotions are fooling you. Perhaps they are rich, because they get thousands of people every day or month to sign up for their programs

You feel smug

You feel smug with your decision because after all banner advertising is dead.

Wrong. Banner advertising is not dead — and in fact it is still an effective internet marketing tool. However banner advertising has evolved — or rather I should say successful banner advertising has evolved. Some of the horrible eye-damaging banner ads still exist but successful, knowledgable internet entrepreneurs have long abandoned those marketing efforts and instead concentrated on targeted, tasteful, and trim banner ads.

Banner ads have a bad reputation in part because of the proliferation of banner farms that killed all the banner swap programs (or at least made them completely ineffectual). Also we all have memories of those hideous banners flashing across the top of so many web sites.

Banners have come along way since then and a cleverly designed banner can be a real asset to any advertising campaign. Also don’t forget that you don’t have to use one of those big giant banners that span the width of the screen.

China capitulates as steel mills threaten to break ranks.

Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2009

Byline: John Garnaut

Jul 01, 2009 (The Sydney Morning Herald – ABIX via COMTEX) — Sources claim the China Iron & Steel Association is now ready to demand a reduction in the price of iron ore from Australian suppliers that will be less than the initial target of a 40% cut. The change in its stance has been triggered by new economic data that shows the recovery in China will be quicker than previously assumed, meaning that commodity prices are set to also rise. Meanwhile the Chinese Government has concerns at the planned iron operations merger by Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton.

Too much spin you know! Jesus:

Too much spin you know!

Jesus: We all got a good laugh out of that one.

BBC: Well, Jesus, welcome! What a pleasant surprise!

God: Yes, I was saving it, but he’s always wanting to return somewhere on his own and since we have canceled his return to the old Holy Land, I guess he chose the BBC! Ha ha, cute!

Jesus: Thanks Ian, so nice to be here and I brought a guest as well, Hope you don’t mind.

Allah: Well hello Ian, Allah here. Can’t be revoking the Holy Land lease without ME!

BBC: Wow, all three of you! Well let me ask, just what was it that got you thinking the lease was up?

God: Well for me it was the murder of the Palestinian family on the beach, via rocket attack by the Israelis a few weeks back. It was kind of a symbol to me that the place just can’t be called Holy anymore.

Jesus: For me, it was that too, but also the hopeless quagmire or Iraq. I know you guys try, but you are missing a lot of stuff there and Holy just doesnt’ cut it.

BBC: Jesus, let me interrupt and ask if you feel badly about not returning to the Mount of Olives as you nce said.

Jesus: No, not at all.

You can, however, plan how you will

You can, however, plan how you will deal with stress as it arises by learning and using stress relief techniques and making them a part of your life to the degree that it will be almost second nature to rely on them when you most need them.

Uncertainty about the future can cause significant anxiety and stress. There will always be uncertainty about the future, whether there is a person in the family who has Alzheimer?s disease or not. To cope with uncertainty, continue to do what you are currently doing: educate yourself about Alzheimer?s disease and, to the extent possible, prepare yourself for what is to come. It is always different when it is your loved one involved and there will likely be events for which you haven?t prepared yourself, but the more you can prepare yourself for the future the better. Note that preparing yourself is vastly different from worrying about the future and stewing about it.
